Nokia Lumia 630, Lumia 635 and Nokia XL: Price and Launch Date

Nokia recently announced three Lumia smartphones at the Microsoft Build Conference in San Francisco. The devices are Lumia 630 (also in Dual SIM), Lumia 635 and Lumia 930. Lumia 930 is the global version of the Lumia Icon smartphone, the Lumia Icon was US specific only. All these Lumia smartphones have headed to India and will be available in the market from May. It is worth noting that Nokia has already lined up the Nokia XL smartphone for launch in May, so with this the company is expected to launch 4 smartphones in India in May.

The company during the announcement quoted the price of the Lumia 630 single SIM smartphone as $159 without taxes which comes around 10,300 Indian rupees, the Dual SIM variant of the Lumia 630 will be priced little higher than single SIM with $169 price tag which is around 11,000 rupees without taxes and subsidies.

The Lumia 930 on the other hand is a high end smartphone packing 5-inch Full HD display and has powerful hardware on board. This device will arrive India in June and is likely to carry a hefty price tag of around Rs 36,000 – Rs 38,000. Along with Lumia 630 and Lumia 635 Nokia will be launching the Nokia XL smartphone, this device is based on Android Open Source Project. Nokia has modified the codes of the OS and graphics to such an extent that it resembles Windows Phone OS, the company last month launched the Nokia X smartphone, its first Android based smartphone. The Nokia XL is in terms of design and features similar to Nokia X but has higher RAM, bigger display and better camera.

So do you think Nokia’s strategy of Launching Android and Windows Phones at the same would affect the sales of either of the phones? Shoot your suggestions in the comment box below.
